The counter opened at Rs 1145.0 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 1157.4 and Rs 1138.65, respectively, in the session so far. The stock of Lupin Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 1267.5 and a 52-week low of Rs 828.65.
As per BSE, the total market cap of the Lupin Ltd. stood at Rs 52384.18 crore at the time of writing this report.
The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 3841.32 crore for the quarter ended 31-Mar-2021, down 4.88 per cent from previous quarter’s Rs 4038.53 crore and down 5.25 per cent from the year-ago quarter’s Rs 4054.34 crore.
The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 460.36 crore, up 18.15 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.
As of 31-Mar-2021, domestic institutional investors held 13.05 per cent stake in the firm, while foreign institutional investors held 17.87 per cent and the promoters 46.58 per cent.
According to BSE data, the stock traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 43.06 and a price-to-book ratio of 2.13. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
