NEW DELHI: Shares of AstraZeneca Pharma India Ltd. traded 5.52 per cent down in Wednesday’s trade at 11:12AM (IST). Around 21,919 shares changed hands on the counter.

The stock opened at Rs 3800 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 4057.1 and Rs 3650, respectively, in the session so far. The stock of AstraZeneca Pharma India Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 4970 and a 52-week low of Rs 1888.

Total market cap of the AstraZeneca Pharma India Ltd. stood at Rs 9972.5 crore at the time of writing this report.

Late-stage studies of AstraZeneca’s Covid-19 vaccine candidate are on temporary hold while the company investigates whether a patient suffered a serious side effect or if the illness had nothing to do with the shot.

Key Financials

The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 193.58 crore for the quarter ended 30-Jun-2020, down 0.68 per cent from previous quarter’s Rs 194.9 crore and down 5.37 per cent from the year-ago quarter’s Rs 204.56 crore.

The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 18.63 crore, down 13.39 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.

Shareholding pattern

As of 30-Jun-2020, DIIs held 3.21 per cent stake in the firm, while foreign institutional investors held 1.19 per cent.


Valuation ratio


According to BSE data, the stock traded at a P/E multiple of 143.84 and a price-to-book ratio of 27.36. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
