NEW DELHI: Shares of Vodafone Idea Ltd. traded 4.59 per cent down in Wednesday’s trade at 09:25AM (IST). Around 14,203,665 shares changed hands on the counter.
The stock opened at Rs 10.92 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 11.0 and Rs 10.54, respectively, in the session so far. The stock of Vodafone Idea Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 13.45 and a 52-week low of Rs 2.61.
Total market cap of the Vodafone Idea Ltd. stood at Rs 31350.31 crore at the time of writing this report.
Vodafone Idea managing director and chief executive officer Ravinder Takkar will not be given any remuneration during his current tenure of three years, according to a proposal by the company.
The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 10655.7 crore for the quarter ended 30-Jun-2020, down 9.2 per cent from previous quarter’s Rs 11735.6 crore and down 5.41 per cent from the year-ago quarter’s Rs 11264.7 crore.
The net loss for latest quarter stood at Rs 25460.0 crore, up 422.37 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.
As of 30-Jun-2020, domestic institutional investors held 2.75 per cent stake in the firm, while foreign institutional investors held 7.19 per cent and the promoters 18.48 per cent.
According to BSE data, the stock traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of -0.33 and a price-to-book ratio of 5.24. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
