Stock market update: BSE MidCap index gains nearly 1%; Natco Pharma surges 17%

NEW DELHI: S&P BSE MidCap index was trading with gains at 02:15PM (IST) on Friday.

Shares of Natco Pharma (up 17.0 per cent), Rajesh Exports (up 6.96 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals (up 4.8 per cent), Divis Laboratories (up 4.69 per cent) and Oberoi Realty (up 4.4 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceuticals (down 3.84 per cent), Edelweiss Financial Services (down 3.37 per cent), Honeywell Automation India (down 3.11 per cent), Hudco (down 2.49 per cent) and KIOCL (down 2.07 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 0.91 per cent up at 15146.23 around 02:15PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 47.70 points at 11563.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 49.99 points at 39029.84.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.

Shares of Essel Propack, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, IDFC First Bank Ltd. and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Natco Pharma, Dr. Reddys Laborat, Cipla, Lupin and Cadila Health hit their fresh 52 week high in today’s trade, while Mauria Udyog Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., Innovative Ideals and Services (India) Ltd., Mukat Pipes Ltd., Benara Bearings & Pistons Ltd., Libord Finance Ltd., Aditri Industries Ltd., Pazel International Ltd., Shivom Investment & Consultancy Ltd. and Elegant Floriculture & Agrotech (I) Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
