Stock market update: FMCG stocks mixed; Dabur India rises 2%

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading on a mixed note at 11:04AM (IST) on Tuesday.

Shares of Dabur India (up 2.14 per cent), Jubilant Foodworks (up 1.54 per cent), TATA Consumer Products (up 1.23 per cent), VBL (up 1.21 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever (up 0.91 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Emami (down 1.43 per cent), United Breweries (down 0.98 per cent), Nestle India (down 0.61 per cent), Marico (down 0.6 per cent) and ITC (down 0.47 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty FMCG index was trading 0.3 per cent up at 30687.6 around 11:04AM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 61.65 points at 11449.15, while the BSE Sensex was up 202.77 points at 38831.06.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 14 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SBI, IDFC First Bank Ltd. and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd., Infibeam Avenues Ltd., Hathway Cable, Ruchi Soya Inds and Max Healthcare Institute Ltd. hit their fresh 52 week high in today’s trade, while Khandwala Securities Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
