NEW DELHI: MidCap stocks were trading on a positive note at 12:02PM (IST) on Monday.
Shares of Cholamandalam Financial (up 6.29 per cent), Honeywell Automation India (up 5.71 per cent), GMR Infrastructure (up 4.95 per cent), CRISIL (up 3.7 per cent) and Indian Hotels Company (up 3.57 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Varroc Engineering (down 6.23 per cent), Future Retail (down 6.21 per cent), Shriram City Union Finance (down 2.75 per cent), PNB Housing Finance (down 2.62 per cent) and Oil India (down 2.21 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 0.59 per cent up at 15041.83 around 12:02PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 72.75 points at 11444.35, while the BSE Sensex was up 248.52 points at 38683.24.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 23 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NTPC, BHEL and Zee Ent. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of BASF India, Affle (India) Ltd., Aarti Drugs, Eicher Motors and Jubilant Food hit their fresh 52week high in today’s trade, while Panth Infinity Ltd., Shree Nidhi Trading Co. Ltd., Starcom Information Technology Ltd., STI India Ltd., Leading Leasing Finance and Investment Company Ltd., Libord Finance Ltd., Kretto Syscon Ltd., Shri Niwas Leasing and Finance Ltd., NEO Infracon Ltd. and Netripples Software Ltd. hit fresh 52week low in trade.
