NEW DELHI: Nifty Financial Services index was trading on a positive note at 12:24PM (IST) on Friday.
Shares of Axis Bank (up 6.95 per cent), Shriram Transport Finance (up 5.93 per cent), Cholamandalam Investment & Finance (up 4.59 per cent), ICICI Bank (up 4.27 per cent) and State Bank of India (up 3.36 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Bajaj Holdings & Investment (down 1.4 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance (down 0.58 per cent), HDFC Asset Management Company (down 0.31 per cent) and Piramal Enterprises (down 0.2 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty Financial Services index was trading 1.61 per cent up at 11668.4 around 12:24PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 92.25 points at 11651.5, while the BSE Sensex was up 343.21 points at 39456.68.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, GMR Infra, Federal Bank and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Coromandel Int., Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd., Central Depository Services (India) Ltd., GMR Infra and Hathway Cable hit their fresh 52 week high in today’s trade.
