NEW DELHI: Nifty Financial Services index was trading on a positive note at 10:57AM (IST) on Tuesday.

Shares of REC (up 4.1 per cent), Power Finance Corporation (up 2.6 per cent), ICICI Pru Life (up 1.95 per cent), Bajaj Finance (up 1.58 per cent) and HDFC (up 1.35 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Piramal Enterprises (down 3.42 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Financial (down 3.12 per cent), Shriram Transport Finance (down 1.77 per cent), Axis Bank (down 1.69 per cent) and Bajaj Holdings & Investment (down 1.05 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Financial Services index was trading 0.48 per cent up at 11443.3 around 10:57AM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 64.95 points at 11452.45, while the BSE Sensex was up 224.06 points at 38852.35.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SBI, IDFC First Bank Ltd. and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd., Infibeam Avenues Ltd., Hathway Cable, Ruchi Soya Inds and Max Healthcare Institute Ltd. hit their fresh 52 week high in today’s trade, while Khandwala Securities Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
