NEW DELHI: Nifty PSU Bank index was trading on a negative note at 12:06PM (IST) on Wednesday.
While Bank of India (down 3.07 per cent), State Bank of India (down 2.11 per cent), Canara Bank (down 1.73 per cent), Punjab & Sind Bank (down 1.56 per cent) and Union Bank of India (down 1.34 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 1.61 per cent down at 1497.15 around 12:06PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 6.25 points at 11476.5, while the BSE Sensex was down 3.53 points at 38897.27.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 23 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Zee Ent., Tata Motors and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Central Depository Services (India) Ltd., Adani Green Energy Ltd., IndiaMART InterMESH Ltd., Hathway Cable and Godrej Ind hit their fresh 52 week high in today’s trade, while Libas Designs Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
