NEW DELHI: Nifty PSU Bank index was trading higher at 12:28PM (IST) on Tuesday.

Shares of Bank of Maharashtra (up 5.67 per cent), Canara Bank (up 2.85 per cent), State Bank of India (up 2.13 per cent), Bank of Baroda (up 1.14 per cent) and UCO Bank (up 0.36 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Indian Overseas Bank (down 1.79 per cent), Union Bank of India (down 0.65 per cent), Indian Bank (down 0.3 per cent) and Punjab National Bank (down 0.14 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 1.19 per cent up at 1504.55 around 12:28PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 12.35 points at 11478.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 68.43 points at 38867.51.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, SBI, LIC Housing Fin and ICICI Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Max Financial Services, Affle (India) Ltd., Timken India, Adani Enterpr. and Indiabulls Ventures (PP) hit their fresh 52 week high in today’s trade, while Wealth First Portfolio Managers Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
