Stock market update: Pharma stocks down; Cadila Healthcare sheds over 1%

NEW DELHI: Pharma stocks were trading on a negative note at 12:15PM (IST) on Tuesday.

Shares of Cadila Healthcare (down 1.34 per cent), Biocon (down 1.26 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (down 0.83 per cent), Dr Reddys Laboratories (down 0.61 per cent) and Cipla (down 0.46 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

While Lupin (up 0.86 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals (up 0.41 per cent), Divis Laboratories (up 0.11 per cent) and Aurobindo Pharma (up 0.07 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.38 per cent down at 11528.75 around 12:15PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 17.95 points at 11484.4, while the BSE Sensex was up 95.67 points at 38894.75.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, SBI, LIC Housing Fin and ICICI Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Max Financial Services, Affle (India) Ltd., Timken India, Indiabulls Ventures (PP) and Adani Enterpr. hit their fresh 52 week high in today’s trade, while Wealth First Portfolio Managers Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
