Stock market update: Private Bank stocks climb; ICICI Bank gains 2%

NEW DELHI: Private Bank stocks were trading with gains at 12:40PM (IST) on Tuesday.

Shares of RBL Bank (up 3.47 per cent), IndusInd Bank (up 2.02 per cent), ICICI Bank (up 1.92 per cent), Axis Bank (up 1.86 per cent) and City Union Bank (up 1.38 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Bandhan Bank (down 0.64 per cent), HDFC Bank (down 0.41 per cent), IDFC Bank (down 0.16 per cent) and Federal Bank (down 0.09 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Private Bank index was trading 0.88 per cent up at 12593.95 around 12:40PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 7.95 points at 11474.4, while the BSE Sensex was up 57.04 points at 38856.12.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, SBI, ICICI Bank and LIC Housing Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Max Financial Services, Affle (India) Ltd., Timken India, Adani Enterpr. and IOL Chemicals hit their fresh 52 week high in today’s trade, while Wealth First Portfolio Managers Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
