NEW DELHI: SmallCap stocks were trading on a positive note at 02:26PM (IST) on Monday.

Shares of Himatsingka Seide (up 16.78 per cent), Confidence Petroleum India (up 10.4 per cent), Mangalam Organics Ltd (up 10.0 per cent), Novartis India (up 8.8 per cent) and TV18 Broadcast (up 8.71 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Srikalahasthi Pipes (down 18.37 per cent), Thangamayil Jewellery (down 5.1 per cent), HLE GLASCOAT (down 5.0 per cent), Vikas Wsp (down 4.94 per cent) and Future Enterprises (down 4.93 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.31 per cent up at 15016.16 around 02:26PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 101.40 points at 11518.35, while the BSE Sensex was up 349.41 points at 39046.46.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Trident Ltd, YES Bank, Bank of Baroda and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of TCS, Wipro, Tata Elxsi, Adani Enterpr. and Birlasoft hit their fresh 52 week high in today’s trade, while Mauria Udyog Ltd., 7NR Retail Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., A & M Febcon Ltd., Unishire Urban Infra Ltd., Colorchips New Media Ltd., Virgo Global Ltd., Spice Islands Apparels Ltd., SC Agrotech Ltd. and Shri Niwas Leasing and Finance Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
