NEW DELHI: SmallCap stocks were trading on a negative note at 01:31PM (IST) on Friday.
Shares of Responsive Industries (down 6.7 per cent), Techno Electric & Engineering Co (down 6.59 per cent), DLink (India) (down 5.73 per cent), Adani Green (down 5.0 per cent) and Reliance Naval and Engg (down 4.99 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
While IFB Industries (up 14.34 per cent), Jamna Auto Inds (up 13.84 per cent), Jay Bharat Maruti (up 9.49 per cent), Indo Count Industries (up 8.34 per cent) and IRB Infrastructure Developers (up 8.08 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.37 per cent down at 14706.76 around 01:31PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 87.40 points at 11440.05, while the BSE Sensex was down 306.74 points at 38684.2.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 12 were trading in the green, while 37 were in the red.
Shares of Granules India, AstraZeneca, Timken India, Adani Gas Ltd. and Amber Enterprises India Ltd. hit their fresh 52 week high in today’s trade, while Panth Infinity Ltd., Innovative Ideals and Services (India) Ltd., Darshan Orna Ltd., Majestic Research Services & Solutions Ltd., Saffron Industries Ltd., Colorchips New Media Ltd., Leading Leasing Finance and Investment Company Ltd., Helpage Finlease Ltd., Modulex Construction Technologies Ltd. and Shri Niwas Leasing and Finance Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
